The Origin of the Chihuahua There is no general consensus as regards the origin of the Chihuahua. Whereas some people believe that the Chihuahua must have originated from Mexico around the middle of the 19th century in the state of Chihuahua from where it might have got his name, others are of the opinion that the history of this canine breed dates farther back in history. Cavalier King Charles Spaniel was bred initially as a lap dog for drafty castles and cold carriage rides for the aristocracy and royalty of old. Where does the Lhasa Apso originate? The Lhasa Apso, according to historical accounts, originated in Tibet, where they belonged to the rich and were greatly prized.  Cats are naturally given to sleep. On average, a grown cat will sleep 12-16 hours a day. For kittens and older cats, the amount of sleep is greater, with adult cats sleeping around 20 hours a day.  It has been estimated that the average cat spends two-thirds of his entire life sleeping.
